AB MikroNano (ASELSAN GaN Foundry)

Overview

AB MikroNano is a joint venture between ASELSAN and Bilkent University operating Turkey's first commercial GaN (gallium nitride) chip foundry, located at Bilkent Cyberpark Teknokent in Ankara. Ground was broken in December 2014; the facility was planned to produce around 28,800 GaN transistor-based integrated circuits annually for defense, aerospace, space, communications, and energy applications, making Turkey one of a small number of countries with domestic GaN chip manufacturing capability.
