Greatek Electronics Inc. (TWSE 2441) is a Taiwanese outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) company, established in 1983 (originally as Heide Integrated Circuit Co., Ltd.) and specialising in logic-IC packaging and testing. It is a majority-owned subsidiary of Powertech Technology (PTI), which acquired a controlling stake via a tender offer in 2012. Its headquarters and manufacturing are in Zhunan Township, Miaoli County (No. 136, Gongyi Rd.), spread across several plants (the Hoxing, Gongyi No. 1 and No. 2, CP and Toufen factories). Greatek offers a broad package range -- traditional leadframe packages (P-DIP, SOP, SOJ, SSOP, TSSOP, MSOP), quad flat no-lead (QFN), ball grid array (BGA), flip-chip and wafer-level advanced packages -- together with wafer probing (CP) and final-test services, and has been running at high utilisation on AI-driven flip-chip and QFN demand. As an assembly/test house it has no wafer-fab process node; per-facility monthly wafer capacity is not a fab metric and plant cost is not disclosed.
