Overview
Kopin's Westborough, Massachusetts headquarters includes Class 10 cleanrooms for wafer processing and higher-level assembly of LCD, OLED, and MicroLED microdisplays. In May 2026 Kopin announced the purchase of an OLED deposition system to establish full-scale in-house OLED microdisplay production at the site, ending its previous fabless OLED model, supported in part by an IBAS program award from the U.S. Department of War. Kopin entered the five-year lease on the 74,000-square-foot Westborough manufacturing facility in October 1993, with 7,000 square feet of contiguous environmentally controlled production cleanrooms, per its FY1996 Form 10-K; by the FY1998 Form 10-K the site was described as the CyberDisplay production facility.
