Overview
Macronix's Hsinchu Science Park manufacturing base combines Fab 2, a 200mm fab that entered mass production in March 1997, and Fab 5, a 300mm fab acquired in April 2010 and unveiled that December. Together they produce Macronix's NOR flash, NAND flash and XtraROM nonvolatile memory; 2023 annual capacity was about 1.16 million 8-inch-equivalent wafers (~96,700 per month).
