Magnachip Semiconductor's wafer fab in Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea (internally 'Fab 3') -- the company's single remaining fabrication facility. Per Magnachip's FY2025 Form 10-K (SEC EDGAR, CIK 1325702), 'Our manufacturing operations take place in a single fabrication facility located in Gumi, Korea. Our facility has a capacity of approximately 36,000 eight-inch equivalent wafers per month. We manufacture wafers utilizing geometries ranging from 0.13 to 0.35 microns.' It is a dedicated Power Discrete 8-inch fab, used primarily to manufacture wafers for power standard products (MOSFETs, IGBTs, power ICs) and non-OLED products; Magnachip's OLED display-driver (DDIC) business is fabless. The site traces to Goldstar Semiconductor's Gumi plant (semiconductor operations from 1979/1989), which passed to LG Semiconductor, then Hyundai (1999); Magnachip was spun off from SK Hynix's non-memory operations in 2004. Magnachip divested its larger analog fab, Fab 4 in Cheongju, in 2020 (now SK keyfoundry). The Gumi main building has 41,022 sqm devoted to manufacturing, testing and packaging.
