Overview
Okmetic Vantaa manufactures specialty silicon wafers for MEMS, RF, and power applications, producing the broadest 150-200mm specialty wafer portfolio in the market, including high-resistivity RFSi wafers, bonded and cavity SOI, DSP/SSP, EPI, TSV, and patterned wafers. In May 2022 Okmetic announced the largest investment in its history, nearly EUR 400 million (about USD 0.43 billion), for a fab expansion at the Vantaa site aimed at more than doubling production capacity, adding significant 200mm polished wafer capacity and over 500 jobs. The expansion was completed in early 2025, produced its first silicon wafers in June 2025, and has since entered volume production.
