Overview

Sahasra Semiconductors' ATMP / OSAT (assembly, testing, marking and packaging) plant in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan -- India's first SME-led semiconductor unit and the first established outside the India Semiconductor Mission, backed instead by the central SPECS scheme (Scheme for Promotion of Manufacturing of Electronic Components and Semiconductors). Inaugurated on 15 May 2026, the 57,000-square-foot facility with Class 10K and Class 100K cleanrooms packages memory chips, MicroSD cards, flash storage products, LED driver ICs, eSIMs and RFID devices, exporting about 60% of output to the US, Germany, France, Eastern Europe, China and Nepal. Total investment exceeds INR 1.5 billion (~US$0.018 billion). Initial capacity is about 60 million units per year (plus 43 million units supported under SPECS), with a planned expansion to 400-600 million units per year within two to three years.
