Skyworks Newbury Park is an active GaAs wafer fab in California. Newbury Park was the first Skyworks fab to produce commercial AlGaAs/GaAs HBT devices, running on 4-inch wafers; the company began converting the line to 6-inch (150mm) wafers starting around 2007. The fab originated as Rockwell International's GaAs operation; Rockwell's semiconductor business became Conexant, which spun the Newbury Park GaAs fab off to Skyworks (formed from Alpha Industries and Conexant's wireless business in 2002).
