Overview

An outsourced semiconductor assembly & test (OSAT / ATMP) plant operated by Suchi Semicon (Suchi Group) at Bagumra in Palsana taluka, Surat, Gujarat -- Gujarat's first semiconductor assembly and testing facility. It was inaugurated on 15 December 2024 by Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil, with chip production already under way on a pilot line (about 300,000 chips per day) and commercial shipments beginning in the first quarter of 2025. The plant packages QFN and power-semiconductor chips and analog integrated circuits for automotive, industrial-automation and consumer-electronics customers, and is designed to scale to roughly 3 million chips per day (about 1,033 million chips per year). Suchi Semicon has committed a US$100 million (~Rs 840 crore) investment over three years across an initial 30,000-square-foot floor, backed by a 20% Gujarat state incentive, and has filed for support under the central SPECS scheme and the India Semiconductor Mission.
