The Hanno Factory in Saitama Prefecture was for roughly 70 years the core R&D, business management and semiconductor site of Shindengen Electric Manufacturing (TYO: 6844), the Japanese power semiconductor IDM founded in 1949 (power diodes, MOSFETs, SiC Schottky diodes, bridge rectifiers on 4-inch to 6-inch lines). Shindengen decommissioned the Hanno cleanroom in March 2021 and consolidated the site's R&D and business functions into the new Asaka Office, which opened on April 1, 2021.
