Yangjie Changsha (Chuwei) 8-inch Fab - 8-inch Line
Overview
Originally established 28 June 2019 as Hunan Jiechu (Chuwei) Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd., a project of CETC's 48th Research Institute, in the Changsha High-Tech Development Zone at a total planned investment of about RMB2.5 billion. Yangjie Technology began acquiring stakes in 2022 (reaching 70%+ ownership across several tranches) to quickly add 8-inch power-discrete capacity for its Trench MOSFET, TMBS and automotive-grade product lines. The site runs a 0.25um-0.13um 8-inch (200mm) process line, reaching stable scaled production of about 10,000 wafers/month by 2021-2022 with yields above 98%, and Yangjie has since funded a Phase II expansion targeting roughly 35,000 wafers/month plus a separate 6-inch, 5,000-wafer/month silicon-carbide line at the same site. Key facility details include: The facility is situated at 60 Qingshan West Road, Changsha High-Tech Development Zone, Changsha, Hunan, China. It focuses on Analog / Power and 1300, 2500 process nodes on 200mm wafers. This site represents an estimated investment of $0.35B and a production capacity of 10,000 wafers per month. Production at this facility commenced in 2021.
