Angstrem Fabs

Angstrem JSC is a Russian semiconductor IDM founded in 1963 (as NII-336) in Zelenograd, Moscow, one of the Soviet Union's three original integrated circuit manufacturers alongside Mikron and Integral. Produced 2,000+ types of microcircuits including radiation-hardened devices for space and defense, standard logic, memory, and power semiconductors on 200mm wafers (90-250nm). Declared bankrupt in December 2024, carrying ~RUB 236 billion (~$2.5B) in debt linked to a 2008 guarantee for the adjacent Angstrem-T facility's VEB.RF credit line.
