Overview

Hua Hong Fab 7, operated by Hua Hong Semiconductor (Wuxi), was the company's first 12-inch (300mm) specialty-process line, located in the Xinwu District of Wuxi, Jiangsu. Formally incorporated and brought into operation in 2019, it manufactures power devices, embedded non-volatile memory and analog products on 90nm to 55/65nm nodes, with capacity that has scaled past 60,000 wafers per month. It was Hua Hong's first Wuxi fab, later joined by the larger Wuxi II line (Fab 9). It focuses on Analog / Power, Logic / Foundry and 65, 55, 40 process nodes on 300mm wafers. This site represents an estimated investment of $2.5B and a production capacity of 60,000 wafers per month. Production at this facility commenced in 2019.
