Overview
The Chandler CHD Fab is NXP's high-volume 200mm wafer fab in Chandler, Arizona, specializing in automotive mixed-signal and power management products on CMOS, embedded non-volatile memory and power CMOS processes down to 0.18 micron. The site is the former Motorola MOS 12 wafer fab on Motorola's Chandler campus (with over 200,000 square feet of cleanroom built out in phases, including a $1.1B expansion announced in October 1997), which passed to Freescale Semiconductor in the 2004 spin-off and to NXP with the 2015 Freescale merger. Freescale's 2011 SEC filings list the Chandler fab as building microcontrollers and power management devices on 200mm wafers.
