Overview
The TIA-Power Electronics line at AIST Tsukuba develops next-generation power semiconductors with an emphasis on silicon carbide (SiC), covering crystal growth, wafer processing, epitaxial film growth, and device fabrication. The power electronics research complex was completed in October 2010 and hosts more than a hundred researchers from industry, universities, and public research institutions.
