Overview
Coherent Järfälla is one of two sites (alongside Sherman, TX) where Coherent established the industry's first scalable 6-inch InP (Indium Phosphide) wafer fabrication capability. The fab manufactures InP-based photonic integrated circuits for AI-driven datacenters, 800G/1.6T optical transceivers, and 6G wireless. Key facility details include: The facility is situated at Bruttovägen 7, 175 27 Järfälla, Stockholm County, Sweden. It focuses on Compound Semiconductor, Photonics / Optical on 150mm wafers. Production at this facility commenced in 1990s.
