Overview
Epistar Fab F1 in Taoyuan produces LED epitaxial wafers and chips. The site joined Epistar through the merger with Formosa Epitaxy (FOREPI), announced in June 2014 and effective 31 December 2014, which consolidated FOREPI's Taoyuan-based MOCVD capacity into Epistar and lifted the group total to more than 400 MOCVD reactors. FOREPI was incorporated on 4 November 1999 in the Longtan (Lung-Tan) Industrial Park, Taoyuan, where this fab is located. Key facility details include: The facility is situated at Taoyuan, Taiwan. It focuses on Compound Semiconductor on 150mm wafers. Production at this facility commenced in 1999.
