Overview

Epistar's Hsinchu Science Park fab cluster grows AlGaInP and InGaN LED epitaxial wafers and fabricates LED chips. Epistar was founded in Hsinchu in 1996, absorbed United Epitaxy Company in 2005 and Formosa Epitaxy in 2014 (bringing group capacity to more than 400 MOCVD reactors), and became part of the Ennostar holding group in 2021. The company's first products, AlInGaP LEDs, launched in November 1997 per the official Ennostar milestones. Key facility details include: The facility is situated at Hsinchu, Taiwan.
