Agrate R3 is a state-of-the-art 300mm wafer fab operated in partnership with Tower Semiconductor, focused on smart power, analog, and mixed-signal chips. Part of a combined $3.63 billion 2017 investment plan alongside Crolles 300mm; Tower's foundry allocation adds up to 16,000 wafers/month at full utilization. ST's April 2025 restructuring targets doubling current capacity to 4,000 wafers/week by 2027, with modular expansions planned up to 14,000 wafers/week depending on market conditions.
