Overview

TPSCo Tonami Fab (Fab 5) is an active 200mm (and reportedly 300mm) semiconductor manufacturing facility in Japan. In March 2026, Tower Semiconductor and Nuvoton Technology Corporation Japan (NTCJ) announced a restructuring of their TPSCo joint venture under which NTCJ will take full ownership of Fab 5, while Tower takes full ownership of Fab 7 in Uozu; the transaction is targeted to close April 1, 2027, with mutual long-term supply agreements preserving existing customers on both sides. Key facility details include: The facility is situated at Tonami, Toyama, Japan. It focuses on Analog / Power, Sensors and 180, 130, 65 process nodes on 200mm, 300mm wafers.
