Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation, a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, is the world's largest maker of CMOS image sensors, having shipped over 20 billion units by the end of 2024 and commercialized the first stacked CMOS image sensor. It operates its own wafer fabs in Japan to produce image sensors and related devices for mobile, automotive, and industrial customers.
