Yongin Cluster Fab 1 (Y1), SK Hynix's first fab at the Yongin Semiconductor Cluster, began construction in February 2025 as part of a planned ~KRW 21.6 trillion (~$15B) investment through 2030, targeting DRAM and NAND memory production. Per SK Hynix's F-1 SEC registration statement, the phase 1 cleanroom is expected to open in the first quarter of 2027.
