SK Hynix M17 is a new NAND flash memory fab planned for Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea. Investment of 80 trillion won (~$51.6 billion). Groundbreaking targeted for 2027, with operations scheduled to begin in the first half of 2029. Announced by CEO Kwak Noh-jung as part of SK Hynix's 100 trillion won total commitment to the Chungcheong region under South Korea's 'Three Mega Projects' initiative in June 2026. Key facility details include: The facility is situated at Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea. It focuses on NAND on 300mm wafers. This site represents an estimated investment of $51.6B. Production at this facility is expected to begin in 2029.
