TI Aguascalientes is an assembly and test site operated by Texas Instruments de Mexico in the Ciudad Industrial of Aguascalientes, Mexico, handling back-end packaging and test for TI products including lines transferred from TI's former Attleboro, Massachusetts sensors and controls operations. TI was the first major foreign manufacturer to commit to Aguascalientes, announcing the plant in 1979, though operations only began in 1984 after the US recession and Mexican economic crisis; the sensors-and-controls side of the site was sold to Bain Capital in 2006 and became Sensata.
