Overview
TI Melaka (TIEM) is TI's assembly and test factory in Batu Berendam, Melaka, operated by Texas Instruments Electronics Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. In November 2025 TI opened the connected second Melaka factory (TIEM2), bringing the combined Melaka facilities to more than 1.4 million square feet, under a June 2023 expansion plan with an investment potential of up to RM5 billion for the Melaka site. The Melaka site came to TI through the September 2011 acquisition of National Semiconductor, whose Malaysian plant it was; National had consolidated its final manufacturing from Toa Payoh, Singapore into Melaka and Suzhou in 2005.
