Overview
UMC's Hsinchu Campus in the Hsinchu Science Park is a major 200mm (8-inch) manufacturing hub built up from the mid-1990s, aggregating the company's cluster of Hsinchu 8-inch fabs (Fab 8A, 8C, 8D, 8E and 8F) into one of the largest 200mm foundry operations in Taiwan. It runs mature and specialty processes spanning 0.6-micron down to 110nm, with Fab 8A recognized in 2012 as Taiwan's first 8-inch foundry to earn a Green Factory label. (Note: this aggregate entry overlaps the individually listed Hsinchu 8-inch fabs and its 300,000 wpm figure double-counts them; flagged for human review since round 14.) Key facility details include: The facility is situated at Li-Hsin Rd, Hsinchu Science Park, Hsinchu, Taiwan. It focuses on Logic / Foundry, Analog / Power and 600, 500, 350, 180, 130, 110 process nodes on 200mm wafers. This site represents a production capacity of 300,000 wafers per month.
