Amkor Technology Vietnam (ATV) is Amkor's factory in the Yen Phong 2C Industrial Park in Bac Ninh province, Vietnam, and the company's largest and most advanced site. Amkor inaugurated the plant on 11 October 2023, its first factory in Vietnam, after committing $1.6 billion to the first two phases for the facility, machinery and equipment. The 57-acre campus is designed for about 200,000 square meters of cleanroom space and began with Advanced System in Package (SiP) and memory production, offering turnkey back-end solutions from design through electrical test for the communications, automotive and high-performance computing markets. As a back-end assembly and packaging operation it has no wafer-fab process node; monthly wafer capacity is not the relevant metric for its packaging work.
