Overview
SMIC Beijing (Fab 2), in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area, was mainland China's first 12-inch (300mm) wafer fab, commencing operation in September 2004. It runs logic processes from 0.18-micron down to 40nm, with a capacity of roughly 50,000 wafers per month. Key facility details include: The facility is situated at No.18 Wenchang Avenue, BDA, Beijing, China. It focuses on Logic / Foundry and 180, 130, 90, 65, 40 process nodes on 300mm wafers. This site represents a production capacity of 50,000 wafers per month. Production at this facility commenced in 2004.
