SMIC SN1, in the Lingang/Zhangjiang area of southern Shanghai, is the company's most advanced 12-inch (300mm) fab, in production since 2020 and representing roughly US$12 billion of investment. It runs SMIC's leading-edge FinFET logic (14nm and its 'N+1' 7nm-class process), with a capacity of about 35,000 wafers per month.
