Overview
SMIC Tianjin (Fab 3), in the Xiqing Economic Development Area, is an 8-inch (200mm) wafer fab that originated as Motorola's MOS-17 fab and was acquired by SMIC in January 2004 as part of a strategic foundry relationship. It runs logic and analog/power processes from 0.35-micron down to 90nm, with a capacity of about 60,000 wafers per month. Key facility details include: The facility is situated at No.19 Xinghua Avenue, Xiqing Economic Development Area, Tianjin, China. It focuses on Logic / Foundry, Analog / Power and 350, 180, 130, 90 process nodes on 200mm wafers. This site represents a production capacity of 60,000 wafers per month.
