Overview

Intel Fab 52 is a high-volume 300mm fab at the Ocotillo campus in Chandler, Arizona, the fifth high-volume factory on the campus. Announced in 2021 as part of a $20B+ two-fab expansion, it was declared fully operational in September 2025 and ramped Intel 18A (RibbonFET gate-all-around plus PowerVia backside power) into high-volume manufacturing in late 2025. It is the first US fab to produce 2nm-class chips, building Panther Lake (Core Ultra series 3) client processors and Clearwater Forest server processors. The fab was originally slated for the Intel 20A node, which Intel cancelled in September 2024 to concentrate on 18A.
