Micron Tainan is a front-end wafer test site in the Tainan Technology Industrial Park (Annan District). Micron acquired the former AU Optronics plant buildings for NT$7.4 billion (~$230 million) in August 2024 to support growing DRAM output from its Taichung and Taoyuan fabs, and broke ground on additional construction at the site in June 2025.
