Overview
Micron Xi'an opened in March 2007 as an assembly and test site for DRAM, NAND, and CMOS image sensors, and grew into Micron's largest test operation worldwide. In June 2023 Micron announced a 4.3B yuan (~US$600M) expansion including a new building and production lines for mobile DRAM, NAND, and SSD products, alongside the acquisition of Powertech Technology's Xi'an packaging facility; the expansion targeted production from H2 2025.
