Overview

Micron's first leading-edge memory megafab in Boise, Idaho (ID1), co-located with its R&D center. Ground broken September 2022, fab construction began October 2023, first DRAM wafer output projected in the second half of calendar 2027 (FY2025 10-K). Part of up to $6.1B in CHIPS Act direct funding shared with the Clay, NY site; a second Idaho fab (ID2) was announced in June 2025.
