Overview
Samsung Fab 6 Line is a 200mm line on Samsung's Giheung campus in Yongin, South Korea, producing sensors, power ICs, discretes, eFlash, and legacy logic. Giheung is Samsung's original semiconductor site, where the company opened the industry's first 200mm fabrication line (Line 5) in 1993; the neighboring 8-inch lines including Line 6 now run specialty and legacy processes. Per Seoul Economic Daily, the former Lines 7 and 8 were consolidated into the 6 Line, giving it a combined capacity of about 300,000 8-inch wafers on processes from 180nm down to 70nm.
