Overview
Samsung Pyeongtaek P4 (Pyeongtaek Line 4) is a roughly 50 trillion won (~$36B) 300mm memory fab with four cleanrooms across two floors on Samsung's Pyeongtaek campus in Gyeonggi-do. Its first phase (P4H, originally P4F) began ramping NAND flash in late 2024, targeting about 10,000 wafers per month by year-end, and the line was subsequently repurposed toward 6th-generation 1c-nm-class DRAM and HBM4 output as AI memory demand surged. As of April 2026 the fab was operating at about half capacity, with Samsung using temporary-use approvals to pull full operation of the remaining phases (Ph4 upper floor, Ph2 lower floor) into 2026, about six months ahead of schedule. Earlier plans to dedicate part of P4 to foundry production were dropped in favor of memory. Key facility details include: The facility is situated at Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
