TSMC's third newly-announced 3nm fab globally in 2026 (alongside Arizona and Kumamoto), to be built on city-owned land in Anding District, Tainan, separate from the company's existing Fab 18 GigaFab campus at the Southern Taiwan Science Park. Neither TSMC nor the Tainan city government has disclosed an official fab number, investment amount, or capacity; the only confirmed fact is a production start targeted for the first half of 2028.
